Role


We are currently seeking a dynamic Litigation Associate to cover a 7-month paternity leave position, with the potential for permanent employment. This is a full-time hybrid role suitable for a Lawyer or Licensed Paralegal. The Litigation Associate will play a pivotal role in legal document preparation, document review, legal research, pleadings, and motions. While the primary location is in Ottawa, ON, we offer flexibility for remote work.


Qualifications

  • Strong legal research and writing skills

  • Experience in handling Landlord and Tenant matters, Small Claims Court, and Provincial Offences

  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents, including pleadings and motions

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills

  • Meticulous attention to detail and effective organizational skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research databases such as CanLII

  • Licensed with the Law Society of Ontario and in good standing

  • Minimum of one year of legal experience
