Role
We are currently seeking a dynamic Litigation Associate to cover a 7-month paternity leave position, with the potential for permanent employment. This is a full-time hybrid role suitable for a Lawyer or Licensed Paralegal. The Litigation Associate will play a pivotal role in legal document preparation, document review, legal research, pleadings, and motions. While the primary location is in Ottawa, ON, we offer flexibility for remote work.
Qualifications
Strong legal research and writing skills
Experience in handling Landlord and Tenant matters, Small Claims Court, and Provincial Offences
Proficiency in drafting legal documents, including pleadings and motions
Exceptional oral and written communication skills
Meticulous attention to detail and effective organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research databases such as CanLII
Licensed with the Law Society of Ontario and in good standing
Minimum of one year of legal experience
